Romsey

Part of CTC Southampton, the Hares and Tortoises are a group for those who see themselves as hares who prefer to sleep in the sun, or determined tortoises.

Meet at Palmerston’s statue, central Romsey at 10am on the 1st Saturday of each month for all-day ride, and at 2pm for tea-rides on 3rd Saturday of each month between April and October and starting at 1.30 pm from November to March.

Rides are led at an average pace of 9 to 10 mph. Hills are ridden at each individuals’ own pace or walked if needed. All-day rides are about 35 to 40 miles and tea-rides about 17 to 25 miles. We lunch in a pub and the tea rides have a tea stop.
